Why do you need a coach?

Starting and running a small business can be hard. You have to wear every hat in your business. However, you are not expected to be an expert in everything. This is why there are professionals out there to help with marketing, sales, digital advertising, web design and so much more.

I am a firm believer in utilizing these professionals. They do these tasks, day in, day out and are passionate about them. BUT it is important to recognize when it is time to bring them in. If your business is not ready for that step, it could waste you lots of money that would have been better used elsewhere.

To be frank, I am not someone who has trained for a qualification to be a consultant or coach. I have not brought a franchise. I have not decided to offer my services to make a £million.

What I have achieved is:

  • Volunteered with other businesses such as non-profits and sports clubs
  • Input new ways of working in order to be successful

As a result, I am not saying I am an expert in business. The reason I specialise in small and start-up businesses, is because I am an expert in those first 2 crucial years. In short, I am an expert in what you have to do, to start and build a business.

Strategy

Having a strategy for your business is very important. If you don’t have a long term plan, how can you grow your business? I was taught a famous quote by Benjamin Franklin, and it has forever stuck with me “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail”

Outsource

How many hats do you wear in your business? Marketing manager, financial officer, quality control, web design, facilities manager? Don’t be afraid to admit when you need help. You know your product/service, you are not expected to also know everything else as well.

Sales

I’m sure you will have been bombarded with people who say they can increase your sales. But it doesn’t take just one thing into account, it is a multiple of factors. And if you have followed the first two steps, then you should be able to see what needs changing to boost those sales.

Power Hour

If you are worried about signing up to a coaching program, there is another option.

A 1hr Power Hour.

This one hour session is used to blast through any important issues you need help with right now, while you consider your longer term coaching plans.

This is priced at £120, equivalent to 2 regular coaching sessions. In order that we can make the most efficient use of your Power Hour, a question sheet is sent before we commence the session. This allows me to ascertain and understand what your primary concerns and goals are, as a result we can get to the core of your queries immediately.
